Fall Pickleball Membership
Thank you for your purchase of the Fall Pickleball Membership at Legacy Athletics! We are very excited for this service to be shared with our valued partners at Edmonton Pickleball Club and the members within the organization. A few important details we would like to share with you about how to access our pickleball service down below.
Any questions regarding the service amenities or Fall membership, please email Legacy Athletics at the following email address: info@legacyathletics.ca
1. Access into legacy athletics facility
How to access Legacy Athletics. This pickleball service will be self-running throughout the Fall, meaning pickleball members will be able to come and go as they feel.
You will receive an email from “Avigilon - OpenPath” to sign-up and download their mobile app. This will be your Bluetooth access tool in order to enter Legacy Athletics, through our backdoor security door. You will walk up to the door, open your OpenPath app, then click the LOCK icon, in which the door will beep and you will be able to open the door and enter.
*DO NOT PROP DOOR OPEN. THE SECURITY SENSOR WILL ALARM IF THE DOOR IS LEFT OPEN TOO LONG*
A boot rack will be on your right hand side. All outdoor footwear must be removed prior to walking on the main court.
Lights are on your left hand side, the first member in the building will be able to turn on the lights before walking onto the main court.
2. How to schedule yourself a pickleball session
How to schedule in a pickleball session. We will be using the Edmonton Pickleball Club’s CourtReserve platform this Fall, in which we will have various different types of pickleball sessions to choose from. You find the designated session, time, and date. Then proceed to reserve your spot in the session. You will be able to see who is attending, how many spots are left and other information about the sessions through court reserve.
Open Play: there will be designated drop-in times, in which any player of any skill level is welcome to attend. Here you can tell your friends or small groups to all sign up to play on a singular court together, or sign-up individually to meet new people to play pickleball with.
Ladder Play: here we will have specific round robin ladder play available for designated skill ratings. Various ladders will be available throughout the week from 2.0 ratings to 4.0 rating and everything in-between. Find the skill level that you fall under and the timeslot you desire to reserve your spot. Please note, you must be rated and in the proper skill level of your rating to attend these sessions.
Training Play: these timeslots will be available for pickleball players looking for coaching and training to improve individual pickleball skills. There will be additional fees to attend and receive lessons in these timeslots. More information on this to follow.
3. Setting up and taking down
Setting up/Taking down. As this is a self-running operation. We ask that once a session is completed, to ensure that the pickleball nets and equipment are disassembled and returned to their place of storage. This information will be provided to all members.
Pickleball nets: The 3 pickleball nets provided will be behind a chain-link fence (to the right of the orange vending machine). When dissembling the equipment, please return them to this location.
Netting: The netting that separates the 3 pickleball courts will be hanging on the wall in the middle of the main court. Please return to the same position as you found the netting in.
Pickleballs: pickleballs will not be provided, members must bring their own pickleballs with them to sessions.
